Introducing my brand new 'Wings of Joy' collection, a joyful celebration of the magical moments we share with the 15 hummingbird species native to North America - the spirited companions in our backyards.

I heard so many inspiring hummingbird stories from collectors that are truly beautiful. A hummingbird providing solace and comfort after the passing of a dad. Special childhood memories of birds flying by grandmother’s house at dawn. My painting evoking memories of a beloved wife nicknamed hummingbird. These conversations and connections are so meaningful to me and inspired me to bring more little birds to life.

In this series, I've blended abstract and realism: each bird, rendered in detailed oil paint, comes to life against a backdrop of abstract habitats created with materials like crocheted fabric, gold leaf and natural materials.
