My new 10” x 10” “Beloved Wings” series celebrates our local hummingbirds with thick impasto texture and luminous oil colors.

When I painted this piece, I wanted to capture the quiet joy our local hummingbirds bring into everyday life—the way they appear for just a moment, yet fill the whole space with light.
Gathering of Light features a Black-Chinned Hummingbird, a joyful Female Rufous, and a Broad-Tailed Hummingbird coming together to reflect that feeling of warmth, movement, and gentle connection.
My hope is that this piece brings a touch of that same radiance into your home.
